Drool!
We got to Laughlin around 9:30 or so and the first thing my mom wanted to do was play Keno. I played for awhile but got tired of it quickly. It's just not my game. I went outside and took a picture of the river

After wandering around for another hour we went to lunch. I'll spare you the photos of that
From there, mom was hot to trot for some bingo. By that time I was ready to go looking for crochet stuff! To make a long story short, we left Laughlin without looking. Mom was too tired after a day full of gambling. The one perk was that she hit a $30 bingo and split it with me.

On the way home I was feeling down. Forgive me for having ulterior motives, but I agreed to go because I wanted to see what was out there past the local Wal-mart.
I got lucky though. On the way home we went through downtown Kingman because mom wanted to stop at the Cancer boutique. I just about got my head lopped off when I screamed "Stop!!! There's a yarn shop!!!"
I'd seen this shop once before (before I was so hard-core in to crocheting) but forgotten about it. It's called The Spinster and it's lovely! I went straight towards her hooks, and I'm now the proud owner of a size H rosewood hook!

I've been wanting to try one of these really bad! It's gorgeous and I think I've spent more time drooling over it than using it so far
It feels different than using an aluminum hook. It's a little sticky at the moment, but I think I just need to get used to it. The hook is a little sharper, so I have to take care not to seperate my yarn, but this is not a hook to speed through stuff with! This is my "pamper me" hook. It set me back $8.00 but I'm really thrilled with it. I don't think I would have bought it had I not had the money my mom split with me.

While I was there I talked to the owner. She's a knitter, but she's trying to get more crochet stuff in the shop. She's starting classes on various stuff and there's one I'd love to go to today! Someone's going to be teaching spinning! It's $12.50 for the class though and I just don't have it right now. There'll be more though and I plan on going when I have a little extra cash.
I asked her if I could take a picture of her yarn for my diary lol. Isn't it gorgeous?!
As I was leaving the store I looked in to my bag for a little peek at my new precious, and she'd thrown a button retractable measuring tape in to the bag! It's promotional, with her store name and info on it, but I thought it was the coolest thing! I think I'm going to be frequenting that store whenever I get the chance! She's pricey, but I've never seen quality yarns for cheap.

I'm done gushing for now. I think...
It really was a lovely day all around. I don't want to sound ungrateful because I really did enjoy spending the day with my mom.
I wanted to go over to Hammie's last night, but since I hadn't seen Paul all day and it was leaning towards 6 pm when I got home I decided to spend the rest of the night with him.
When you get a chance, come see me Hammie!!! (Bring coffee)
