Drop the yarn and put your hands up!
The adventures of a maniacal crafter

Woo! Goodies!

2005-01-26
No pictures and boring entries the past couple of days...I'm sorry! I promise I'll come up with some more interesting stuff soon.

I've been on a baby sock kick lately. I've got a couple of pairs finished and I'll try to post the pictures tomorrow.

Hammie brought me over the coolest gifts today! She picked up some great hatboxes when she was visiting her in-laws and she brought me a few today. Inside there was the booklet for 63 Easy-To-Crochet Pattern Stitches Combined to make an heirloom afghan. There's a Crochet Along organized by Yarn Tomato, in cooperation with Crochetville (phew, say that ten times fast!) that I'm dying to get in on.

She also brought me a P hook and a Q hook. I've never had anything past a K before and I'm excited about using them for double stranded things. I hear it makes a huge difference and is much easier than using a K.

I just finished my first square of the bunch and it looks so pretty. I used my wooden Lacis hook and it's finally starting to lose it's stickiness. I'm glad because I was getting a little discouraged. I wasn't sure if I was ever going to get used to it and I was stressing because it was so expensive!

I'm tired and I still have a few sites I want to visit before I head off to bed.
