The demon doily is finished!

If there's any readers out there, you'll know I started working on this project early last month. Since then, I've picked up nary another project. I've forced myself to sit for hour after hour and stitch stitch bitch.
Oh, it didn't start out being bad. The first dozen rows were actually enjoyable. As I got further into the pattern though, it became tedious and boring. But over 80 hours later I've got a truely stunning gift for my mother on Mother's Day.
The pattern called for size 30 thread, but I opted for size 10. It was supposed to be an 18 inch doily, but the thread weight added on another 11 inches, totalling 29 inches of doily!
I'm praying my mom likes it. You never really know with her. I gave her the first afghan I ever made because she practically begged for it, yet she never uses it. The ripple ghan I made her for Christmas? She totes it around with her in their motor home and uses it every time she naps.
I'll be sure to take my camera with me tomorrow to get pictures of her when she opens it.
Speaking of which!!!
It's been so long since I updated, I forgot to add that I got a new camera. It was a cheap $40 one from Wal-Mart, but it works really well. Way better than the crappy little one I had before!
I think I'll drink a soda and peruse Crochetville and then hit the sack! This hooker is exhausted!
