*Sigh*...

It's so nice to be finished with that big project and have the ability to pick up my hook for something different!

Last night I perused Dancin' Needles, a knitting group on MSN I recently joined. They do a stitch of the week and they ask, if you are able, to post a picture of a swatch of that stitch. This weeks stitch was The Eye of the Partridge and here's my swatch:

Not too bad for a newbie. The stitch is really easy, and once I triple checked online to make sure I knew what purlwise meant, I was barrelling along. I'm feeling really good about learning how to knit. I've found that I like the look of knit better than crochet, but mainly on clothing items.

After I finished that, I decided to pop in to Crochetville for a few. One of the members designed this beautiful Ribbon Hat pattern and I made it last night. (Check out her full sitehere.

I used my gorgeous verigated Silver Creek wool that I had leftover from my purse. Here's a pic of it beside my (now) matching hat:

I really like how delicate the hat is. It's close fitting, but the shells around the rim, along with the laced ribbon is just so cute! It's getting warmer here now so I probably won't have a lot of chances to wear it, but there's always next fall!
