Eye of the Partridge revisited, and more
Turns out I had a spaz moment and didn't bring my yarn forward when doing the slip purlwise! I re-did a swatch and it turned out much better.
I'm trying to do all of the stitches from the previous stitches of the week just for practice. I think it'll help a great deal when I start doing bigger projects.
So here's two more swatches.
This is the Alternating Link stitch, which I actually didn't have any problems with.
This is the Vertical Bobble stitch. I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to do those damned bobbles. Luckily Moo, the manager at Dancin' Needles gave me a walkthrough and I was able to finally grasp what I was supposed to do.
Gimme a round of applause now. I actually finished my very first knit project last night!
Over at DN, they have a mystery knit along every 2 months. Every Sunday a small portion of instruction is given for a project. There's 8 installments and the last one finally tells you what you're making.
I made a snail shell purse!
The picture is kind of screwy...the colors are actually light blue and dark blue. I took the picture last night while it was dark, so it's a little wonky. I can't say I love the purse, but I do feel a sense of accomplishment that I haven't felt since I completed my first crochet project.
